From the pre-program preparation to the post-program followup, Wharton Executive Education takes a typical five-day program and expands it to a longer-term relationship, providing the support you need to achieve impact.

Multiple Teaching Methods
Our program designers leverage multiple educational approaches when creating a curriculum. There are case studies to stimulate analysis and discussion of issues — but we know that adults learn in many different ways. Interactive lectures, field learning, simulations, and peer-to-peer information sharing are just some of the approaches that we leverage to optimize your learning experience.
When you attend one of our open-enrollment programs, you will benefit from multiple teaching methods. When you collaborate with us to design a custom program, we will work together to choose teaching methods with your particular audience in mind.
Theory must be supported with practical application. Our faculty members are actively engaged with corporations around the globe, so they bring knowledge of real-world business issues to the classroom. And so do you — action learning, participant-written cases, peer-to-peer learning, and executive speakers demonstrate real challenges and solutions, providing usable tools to employ immediately.
Participant mini-cases are a good example. Certain programs lend themselves to an analysis of specific business challenges faced by participants. When appropriate, you will be asked to provide details of a current business challenge, which will be analyzed by fellow participants and faculty throughout the program. The result will be an action plan tailored to the case at hand.
The Wharton Learning Continuum goes beyond the classroom experience. It can be felt from the moment you register for a program, with our needs-assessment strategies — for individuals, teams, and cohorts; to your time spent on our campus in Philadelphia, at our Wharton West facility in San Francisco, or onsite at your company; to the months after you return to the office, when Wharton follows up to maximize your post-program success.
